Want proven expert advice from the only Metallurgist that owns and operates a foundry?
There are over 1600 variables when operating a foundry- in production alone! Why waste money guessing solutions when problem rob profits and increase scrap. Time is money. Eliminate your teams down time, scrap, and frustration! Investing in a professional metallurgist’s consultation saves time, money, and materials- and quickly gets your team back on track.
Why should you partner with Metallurgist Joe Plunger?
You may find other people who can answer your questions. Some may even be cheaper. But there is not another metallurgist who owns and operates a foundry. You get more than textbook solutions, you get a complete, fully experienced partner who knows more than just melting metal.
There are often factors that only a highly skilled Metallurgist AND foundry owner/operator could diagnose. Only a metallurgist-owner’s experience, not mere textbook knowledge, will solve these challenges over the long run, not just for this pour or piece.
Can I just call anytime?
While I do schedule, time permitting, ‘no notice’ requests for consultations, those companies who arrange in advance enjoy tremendous discounts. The ‘no-notice, not arranged in advance’ fee is $800 per hour and must be prioritized below those who have established partnerships (see below).
How can we partner?
Establishing a longer term relationship give you better answers- faster. Why? Because I become intimately familiar with the operation, your team, and the systems you employ. This saves you time and money and makes my consulting easier and cheaper. There are 3 ways to have a relationship in advance that saves you critical time and money when the stuff hits the fan:
Option 1: “The Troubleshooter” Plan
When you need help, you want a proven expert, not hunting around looking for someone at the last minute. Have a problem that needs professional diagnosis and solutions? This program is simple by-the-hour consulting, secured in advance at reduced rates for a yearly fee of only $1997.
Charged in one hour increments, the fee of $640 per hour is 20% less than the no-notice rate. It covers research, analysis, writing, and phone communication. (For on-site visits, see below).
The Troubleshooter Plan is also available as a ‘pre-buy’ plan with additional savings. Pay in advance for blocks of 10 hours at the reduced rate of $4990 per block, good for 12 months. This is an excellent way to get top notch answers at a better price. You know your business will need the time for the year. Make the commitment in advance and I give you a better rate for your loyalty and trust. Decide now and save the money- and heartache- throughout the year.
Option 2: “Metallurgist Inner Circle” Plan
Only need a few consultations per year but want a great price? Metallurgist Inner Circle Members pay a flat retainer fee of $2497 per 12 month period year which entitles the company and metalcasting team to:
– Full 55% savings on hourly consulting fees- only $360 per hour!
– ‘Only pay for what you need’ convenience
– Highest access and fastest response time other than the Metallurgist PLUS Personal Partnering Program
– easy phone access with Skype or other connections as needed.
– One-on-one talk with the expert, the Metallurgist himself. Almost as good as on-site, but without the costs of a full time employee.
Option 3: “Metallurgist PLUS Personal Partnering Program” Plan (limited to three companies/partnerships)
Want ‘almost instant’ access to a metallurgist without the additional expense of salary, benefits, overtime, vacation and medical? ‘Just a phone call away’ consultation with someone who is MORE than just a metallurgist? This is the program you want. An expert who actually owns and operates a foundry- AND who is a trained and proven metallurgist.
The Metallurgist PLUS Personal Partnering Program features:
– up to 75 hours of dedicated consulting and research at the lowest possible rate- no one gets it for less!
– No per hour fees- the yearly fee covers up to 75 hours per year. That’s less than $275 per hour- the lowest rate available! (excess hours are billed at $300 per hour)
– ‘Metallurgist PLUS’ privileges over every other consulting partner. When an emergency hits, it’s like calling 9-1-1. You know solutions are already in work.
– limited to 3 companies/partners. This is limited access at the top tier- with all the benefits of that type partnership.
– Less than 20% of the yearly cost of an on-staff metallurgist
Fee is $19,997 per 12 month period, paid in advance. Access is very limited, restricted to 3 companies. Contact Consultation@MidwestMetalProducts.com to inquire about openings.
Which Plan is right for you?
While every situation is different, here are some general principles to guide your choice:
The Troubleshooter is probably your best choice if the only time you call a Metallurgist is when there is a problem. Buying 10 hour blocks can also help you fix the costs in advance. An expert is just a phone call away, but ‘pay as you go’ pricing keeps your costs as low as possible for ‘emergency use only’ applications.
The Metallurgist Inner Circle is for those who see the value of leveraging an expert in more than just a ‘problem casting’ situation. This gives you priority for urgent problems, and the best rates (55% off!) for ongoing, money saving improvements and reviews. Invest as little or as much as you want to get lower scrap rates, greater repeatability, dimensional accuracy, and happier customers.
Metallurgist PLUS Personal Partnering is very limited and those who invest at this level want higher margins and lower scrap rates. This is about a lot more than just melting metal, this is for those dedicated to personal and business success. If you don’t have time for trial and error, guesses, or ‘wannabe’ metallurgists who don’t actually own and operate a foundry day in and day out, contact Joe personally at Consultation@MidwestMetalProducts.com to see if openings are available.
Need an onsite metallurgy intervention? The fee is a $5000 per day plus expenses. (airline/hotel/rental car). Contact Consultation@MidwestMetalProducts.com for available times.
